The Bridge is an annual mini-festival, created with the support of the Streetrich Hiphop Society, in order to engage and educate youth as well as bridge different communities, generations and cultures through hiphop and related arts.

When we say old school we mean it. This party is an exploration of the roots of hiphop that stretches back to funk, soul and beyond.

Streetrich Hip Hop Society supports World Of Dance B-boy Battle.

An ultimate 2 vs 2 break competition between the best bgirls and bboys of the North West. Filthee Feet – Razzy D and Marks Iller - won a ticket to the world finals in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

‘Art Goes Everywhere’ and Streetrich went hand in hand to organize a breakdance battle for the North West. With Judges like Profowon (San Francisco), Hakai (New York) and three local legends Eloquence (Now or Never Crew), Rory Roketto (Filthee Feet Crew) and Method Migz ( Breakaholics Crew) we reached out to more then 100 participanting dancers. Our visitors enjoyed showcases of local rap artist like Kimmortal and Rupert Common. Gurl 23 and M. Nordli hosted a streetart and T-shirt design station.

In October 2012 Gurl 23 and Matt L’ariko started the weekly program Hip Hop Cypher Sessions. Every week they focused on one of the elements of Hip Hop Culture. They reached out to a wide variety of Hip Hop people. The visitors of the program who were dj’s, writers, breakers and rappers were focused on one element of the culture every week so they had the chance to widen their knowledge about Hip Hop Culture.

Sharing Hip Hop culture is what Streetrich does. During our ‘Each one, Teach one’ event we made time for workshops, a discussion panel about the local Hip Hop scene and showcases of local talent. We had great artists like Kimmortal, Def 3, Dj Abel and J Nasty. It was very nice to see how our visitors connected and shared their knowledge and experiences with each other.
